Independent iOS app publishing is nearby
Very soon we will open our platform for independent developers. We flipped the sides and are providing real freedom for everyone - for users and for developers.
Be one of the first developers to be listed on appdb officially.
About appdb
appdb is a platform that exists for more than a decade and provides users ability to explore, install, enhance and share apps for Apple-branded operating systems. With support of EU DMA we are launching real app marketplace for everyone. And it is not "app marketplace" as Apple thinks - where they can control everything - it is an alternative app distribution platform, which is an independent player in this market with our own APIs and services.

appdb is working completely independently from Apple and not affiliated with them. By flipping sides - allowing users to use their own so-called "Apple developer accounts" to install apps that they want and giving power and freedom right in their hands (till Apple will allow every developer to access this market with their own code signing certificates from trusted CAs).
Our approach
  • We believe that app marketplaces need to be just marketplaces - to provide options to find apps and sell original, signed by Developers apps.
  • Developers need to be free to publish their apps without any restrictions independently.
  • Marketplaces may provide their own services that developers can use by their sole decision, not forced by marketplace owner.
  • Marketplaces should not take an ownership of apps by re-signing them and including additional metrics and profiling as Apple does for now.
  • And finally, marketplaces need to sell apps, not rent, or "give a right to use", so users can easily download installable copies or/and continue to use and install their apps offline, even if they were removed from marketplace.
